
Ashley Hogue, DVM
Dr. Hogue opened PREMIER Veterinary Hospital to care for pets that so greatly enrich our lives. She is a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She has also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Medical Science and a Master Degree in Epidemiology, both from Texas A&M University. She enjoys emergency and critical care medicine and practices in the DFW area on the weekends. She has an interest in pain management, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Hogue is proud to offer Tyler, TX with the excellence of care in veterinary medicine.

Rebecca Beasley, DVM
Dr. Rebecca Beasley is a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She served 4 1/2 years in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and served one year in Afghanistan taking care of military and contract working animals. She has spent the last six years in small and mixed animal practice. She has a particular interest in preventive medicine and owner education.
Sam Scott, DVM
Born and raised in North Texas, Dr. Sam has always had a passion for animals and science. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in2019, where she also gained valuable hands-on experience working at the TAMU Wildlife Center—her favorite part being the time spent with cloned white-tailed deer.
In 2025, Dr. Sam earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Her professional interests include diagnostic imaging and chronic care, which she believes are essential to providing comprehensive, long-term support for her patients’ health and well-being.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Sam is a certified PADI Dive Master. When underwater, she especially loves spotting the elegant and elusive spotted drum fish. At home, she enjoys the lively company of her two dogs—a Catahoula Leopard mix and an Australian Shepherd.
Blake Weaver, DVM
Dr. Weaver grew up in Canyon, Texas, where he developed a lifelong passion for animals and veterinary medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science at West Texas A&M University, where he also played baseball, before graduating from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. His professional interests include surgery, urgent care, and preventative medicine, with a strong focus on helping pets live long, healthy lives.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Weaver enjoys working out, golfing, and spending time with his wife, Alexis, and their baby girl, Collins.
Erin, Practice Manager
Erin was born and raised in Michigan. She moved to Tyler, Texas over 20 years ago and has fallen in love with the atmosphere that Tyler has to offer. She has been in the vet med for over a decade and loves being able to share her love for animals with everyone she encounters. Her true passion is development and helping and watching the people around her grow into what they strive to be. She has one dachshund, who is full of energy and keeps her on her toes. She enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and spending all her free time with her 3 kids and husband.
Lisa, Veterinary Technician, CVA Level III
Lisa was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. She joined the United States Marine Corps right out of high school and served for 5 years. After that, she received her bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management but quickly realized her heart belonged in animal care. She has two German Shepherds training as cadaver dogs. She also loves spending time with her family, playing bass, and riding dirt bikes. When your fur baby is in my care, they are family to me.
Jeannie, Veterinary Technician, CVA Level III
Jeannie was born and raised in East Texas and loves the Piney Woods atmosphere. With over a decade of experience as a Veterinary Technician in small animal medicine, she is dedicated to her patients and their loving families. While she enjoys working with all animals, her passion lies with cats of all ages and senior canines. Jeannie’s fur family includes a senior dachshund and 3 cats of different life stages. In her free time Jeannie enjoys reading, quilting, puzzles, and family game nights.
Lauren, Groomer & Animal And Hospital Care Technician, CVA Level I
Lauren is 30 years old and originally from Hallsville, TX. Lauren began grooming in 2012 and for the last 4 years she has specialized in rehabilitating aggressive dogs for grooming. Lauren also has 4 dogs of her own – 2 chihuahuas, a long haired dachshund, and a 30 pound mix breed, all of whom were rescued.
Sierra, Veterinary Technician, CVA Level III
Sierra is from the small, historic town named Jefferson, Texas. She moved to Tyler, Texas to start school at Tyler Junior College to earn her education and become a veterinary technician. Sierra grew up rescuing many different animals and now has two of her own, Australian shepherds named Honey-Bear and Blue. On her spare time she enjoys visiting home to be with her family. Sierra hopes to work her way up through the animal care world and someday become a veterinarian.
Teresa, Veterinary Technician
Teresa Anjali Ehring is a Veterinary Technician from South Texas who now calls East Texas home. She and her husband share a lively “mini-zoo” that includes a German Shepherd trained in Schutzhund, a retired task-trained Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, five cats, and two snakes. With four years of experience, Teresa takes pride in providing hands-on care to every patient and guiding families through each stage of their pets’ lives.
She is passionate about conservation and species restoration, with the long-term goal of becoming a conservation geneticist. When she’s not caring for animals, Teresa loves spending time outdoors by a quiet river, enjoying rainy days, and all things spooky and musical.
Nemesia, Animal and Hospital Care Technician, CVA Level III
Nemesia was born and raised in Tyler, TX. She is 16 years old & will attend Chapel Hill High School as a junior this Fall. Nemesia is involved in both FFA & band, where she plays the flute. Nemesia has dreamed of becoming a doctor of veterinary medicine since the age of 5 and is constantly talking about her passion for animals and animal care. Nemesia’s plan after graduating high school is to attend Texas A&M university. In her spare time she loves to go to the gym, spend time with family, and cuddle with her four fur babies: Max, Estrella, Bullet, and Obi.
Macie P., Animal and Hospital Care Technician, CVA Level III
Macie is 20 years old and was born and raised in Grapeland, Texas. Macie has always had a passion for animals. Although she started working with cattle and equines at a young age, since working with small animals her love and desire to help them has grown. She moved to Tyler at 18 to start building a life for herself and her future. Macie has two dogs of her own – a cattle dog named Dolly and a bull mastiff named Karma. In her free time, she enjoys spending time out on the ranch with her cows and dogs.
Wendy, Client Care Specialist, CVA Level II
Wendy was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Texas in 1987. Wendy recently moved to East Texas with her husband to enjoy his retirement. She has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years and is a dog mom to 4 fur babies: three dogs named Seely, Tugger, and Sid, and a cat named Ellie. In her free time she enjoys golfing, kayaking (with the dogs), and crocheting.
Yaretsy, Animal and Hospital Care Technician
Yaretsy is an 18-year-old recent high school graduate who is now attending TJC to obtain her associates in Applied Science and is majoring in Pre-Veterinary Technology. Yaretsy was born and raised in Tyler, TX and plans to continue her education to become a veterinary doctor in the future. She has always had a deep love for animals and has found her true passion in caring for animals and their wellness. She has a pug named Niko and in her free time, she enjoys shopping, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
Juan, Animal and Hospital Care Technician
Juan was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. He graduated high school in 2023 with a certificate in Animal Science from the Career Technology Center. He then continued his education at Tyler Junior College, where he became a member of the Veterinary Technology Program while also participating in the Apache Band, playing the euphonium.
Outside of school and work, Juan enjoys fishing, boxing, learning new instruments, and playing video games. His passion for animals extends to all kinds of creatures—even the “creepy crawlies.” Over the years, he has cared for a tarantula, tree frog, axolotl, scorpion, and Pacman frog.
Today, Juan shares his home with a lively group of pets: two dogs, Doc (a black lab mix) and Reyna Reina (a King German Shepherd); two cats, Cash and Missy; and a bearded dragon named Cheeto. His dedication to animals of all shapes and sizes reflects his love and commitment to the veterinary field.
Alivia, Animal and Hospital Care
Alivia is 19 years old and currently enrolled at Tyler Junior College where she is majoring in Business Management. She has two rottweiler pups named Luna and Nova. Alivia has always had a deep desire to help and care for animals and can’t wait to do so at Premier. In her free time, she likes to walk, read, and spend time with her loved ones.
Summer, Client Care Specialist
Summer was born and raised in Tyler, TX. She found her true passion was caring for animals when she was young and growing up on a farm surrounded by cows, chickens, horses, dogs, cats, and more. Summer currently has a Pitbull named Magna and five kids that occupy most of her time. Summer enjoys reading and spending time with her family when she has the chance and looks forward to learning more about veterinary medicine and building a career at Premier!
Valente, Technician, CVA Level II
Valente grew up in Alba, TX. He attended Tarleton State University and Texas A&M at Commerce. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, working and raising cattle, and playing X-box with friends. Valente has two “freeloaders” named Balto and Schilinsky.
Brooke, Groomer
Brooke was born in York, Maine and moved to Texas two years ago with her husband and daughter. She has loved animals for as long as she could remember and since her earliest memory was always finding a way to help them or work with them. She started grooming years ago when she realized the difference it makes in pets’ lives. Brooke specializes in de-sheds and large breeds. In her time off, Brooke enjoys participating in falconry and spending time with her family and fur family, which includes, a German Shepherd named Kai, two cats named Jasmine and Jinx, and four birds named Rosie, Rufio, Lemonade and Blueberry.
Talia
Talia was born and raised in East Texas, where she spent much of her adolescence on a farm raising everything from chickens and pigs to cattle. It was during this time that she developed a lifelong love and respect for animals. Among her many interests, Talia has a special passion for cats of all breeds and temperaments. In 2021, she adopted her beloved cat, Slush, who continues to be her constant companion.
Talia is currently pursuing her studies at the University of Texas at Tyler, with the goal of obtaining a Master’s in Business Management. She hopes to use her education to continue supporting the field of veterinary medicine in a leadership and administrative role, combining her love for animals with her professional aspirations.
