Grooming is a vital part of your animal’s health and can actually improve his or her lifespan. Many breeds require grooming more often than others; however, every breed needs to be groomed. Regular grooming helps ensure that pets are healthy and comfortable. For pets that shed a lot, routine grooming can cut back on it so it doesn’t end up all over your home.

In between appointments, you will also want to groom your pets daily. This will decrease the chance of your pet suffering from various health issues such as skin problems, scratches, and thrush. Grooming your pet regularly will also help improve his or her cleanliness while also reducing any infestations of external parasites on the skin.

We love assisting your pet with a bath. Although some pets, especially cats, are not fond of the water, our hand-held shower head will ensure that your pet is truly clean at the end. Since pets should be bathed in warm water, not hot water, we make sure that we use warm water during your pet’s bath. If your pet has any allergies or issues, we have multiple types of shampoos to use. Just like how some shampoos bother people’s skin, some shampoos can irritate an animal’s skin, so we make sure to prevent any issues like this.

Every pet’s coat is different. Most breeds require trimming or cutting. Styles will vary depending on the breed and what exactly the owner prefers. We wear grooming gloves. We also brush each pet well before they go home, getting out any loose hair, so you won’t have to take any extra hair home.

Pet Grooming FAQs

How old should my pet be before the first grooming appointment?

We recommend that you start grooming a pet between twelve and sixteen weeks old. It is much easier to groom a pet if you start them off young.

How often should my dog be groomed?

While the answer depends on the breed of your dog, we typically suggest grooming every six to eight weeks. If your dog likes to keep a shorter coat, you will want to bring him or her in more often, like every four to six weeks. For dogs with longer coats, we typically suggest around eight to ten weeks.

Do I get the same groomer every time?

Most groomers love working with the same pet so that they can form a relationship. You can always request a specific groomer at the time of appointment.

Can I bring a picture of how I want my pet to be styled?

Absolutely! You are always welcome to do this.

Can I bring my own shampoo?

We welcome this! We understand that you know your pet better than anyone else. We also understand that your pet’s veterinarian may recommend that you use a special shampoo.

Do you take same day appointments?

Our groomers are typically booked. However, you are always welcome to call to find out when the next available appointment is.
