To further our commitment to a high level of care, we at PREMIER Veterinary Hospital have developed an advanced veterinary diagnostic department, unlike any other in the East Texas area. We are proud to offer in-house complete blood counts, blood chemistry panels, electrolytes, ultrasound, cytology, intestinal parasite testing and urinalysis.

We are the only hospital in Tyler, TX to offer in-house coagulation panels. Our PREMIER Veterinary Hospital laboratory features a state-of-the-art microscope for extensive evaluations of samples. When needed, we also utilize outside veterinary laboratories for advanced diagnostics with rapid turn around time.

A diagnostic test is a type of medical test performed to aid in the diagnosis or detection of disease. Diagnostic testing is a vital part of detecting health problems and being able to treat them before they worsen.

Our hospital provides a wide variety of in house diagnostic testing with the most state of the art technology available. It is our goal to provide your pet with the highest level of care possible, and our diagnostic tools help us do that.

Ultrasound
We offer state-of-the-art medical technology. One of the diagnostic tools we use is ultrasound, which creates images of the inner workings of the body.

Ultrasound uses sound waves to offer a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free method of imaging your pet’s internal organs. This is one of the many ways we are dedicated to providing your pet with the best care possible.

By using ultrasound, we have yet another powerful tool at our disposal to detect, diagnose, and prevent illness in your pet.

Parasite Prevention
The idea of your pet being infested with parasites is a disturbing thought, but it’s also a medical issue that can have serious consequences if not properly dealt with or prevented. Parasites pose a variety of health issues for our pets, who can be very susceptible to certain parasites depending on age, region, and other factors.

At PREMIER Veterinary Hospital, we emphasize the importance of preventing parasites. Through preventative measures, you can successfully protect your pet. But pets that are not protected often develop parasites, leading to serious problems for them and their owners.

The cost of prevention is minimal compared to the cost of treatment, which can be expensive and stressful on your pet. Parasites like heartworm can even be fatal, so preventing parasites is of the utmost importance.

Radiographs
Digital radiography is a technique and diagnostic tool that we use to look inside the body in a completely non-invasive way. X-rays allow us to create images of all the body’s organs.

In other words, the use of radiography gives us a view of the internal organs in your pet’s body that we otherwise could not see. It’s an important diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians detect and prevent illness.

The use of digital radiography is safe and our entire staff is highly trained. It is our goal to provide your pet with the highest level of medical care possible, and this is just one of the many ways we achieve that.
